The corporate office is focusing their efforts on supporting the Boise Schools Foundation through volunteering at Families United events, organizing a shoe drive, and speaking at local schools.
The corporate office is focusing their efforts on supporting the Boise Schools Foundation. Associates have begun participating with a Families United Event at a local elementary school. This event offers parenting classes on topics such as spotting signs of abuse and speaking to kids about social media. Volunteers watch children and assist with the Food Bank, while parents attend the event. The Boise offices’ first event occurred mid-October, and they helped pass food out to 39 families (approximately 156 individuals). Several associates from the Boise office volunteered.
The corporate office has several volunteer events going on over the course of the next few months. They have a shoe drive going on currently, as well as speaking engagements at local high schools about job opportunities in the grocery industry and covering necessary skills for success beyond school. We can’t wait to see what great things will come out of this enthusiastic office, and we really look forward to hearing about all the great efforts our other offices are making as well.
