For the past several years, the business students from the FBLA group at Newport High School sponsor an event called a Christmas Experience. The students raise money to purchase gifts that low income families in Newport can come and “purchase” at no cost, for their children. On Wednesday, December 6th, families came to the high school gymnasium and while the parents shopped and wrapped the gifts, the kids participated in crafts, games and ate lots of Christmas goodies. Many of these homes would not have any gifts under the tree at Christmas and this event is the only way parents are able to provide a few gifts for their children.

Several associates from Harlow HRK/Impact Group donated their time and items to organize a gigantic yard sale to support the Christmas Experience for Newport Schools. On Saturday, November 18th associates gathered, transported and set up hundreds of items donated for the event in the high school parking lot. The sale raised $1,050 for the FBLA to purchase gifts. Additionally, the HHRK/Impact office donated extral toys and gifts directly to the FBLA.

The Christmas spirit is alive and well here in Newport, KY. Season’s Greetings to all of our Impact offices.
